有的時候渴望不一定要用 desire 或 longing 來翻譯，也可以用比較簡單通俗的 want 來翻譯，也就是中文說的＂想要＂，例如 I want to drink water. 就是我想要喝水或我渴望喝水，不過 want 沒有 desire 這個強烈的渴望就是了。
